Meet Marci Delaney - a self-proclaimed “spa girl” – who couldn’t find a spa with services to meet her needs so she decided to open one!

“I've always been a "spa girl." Having been a guest in some of the finest spas around, I KNEW the capitol city of our state needed a spa that could deliver the caliber of services that I wanted and expected. Spa 131 is doing just that,” says Marci. “I wanted to create a safe, relaxing environment where I can provide the best in spa services targeted to each guest’s individual needs, all while making every visit special and pampering.“

While Spa 131’s name obviously comes from their 131 State Street address, there is a bit more to the name…

“It's our address,” says Marci. “No great mystery, there, but funny....our grand opening/ribbon cutting was held on January 31...1-31. Hmmmmm....interesting and unplanned.”

While Marci loves all the services offered at Spa 131, she is a bit partial to the skincare services.

“Since I am an Esthetician, of course skincare is my favorite service. We stay busy with all of our services, so I would say that our Massage Therapists would say that massage services are their favorite things,” says Marci. “The awesome part of what we do, is that each team member has a passion for taking care of our guests...and we do have the best client guests in the world at Spa 131!”

Marci’s greatest joy is pampering her clients.

“It is such joy to treat everyone that visits us,” says Marci. “When a client tells me that the Spa 131 experience is the best they've ever had, I positively walk on clouds. I get as much from each client that visits us as they get from their service.”

Although owning and running a small business can be difficult, Marci says she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

“Starting, growing and maintaining a small business isn't for sissies! While there have been sleepless nights and finger chewing, I wouldn't have it any other way,” says Marci. “You have to have a plan and then keep your focus all while having the ability to adjust that plan when necessary. Creating Spa 131 has truly been a labor of love. I think the road to our dream's fulfillment is still long and winding. My seatbelt is buckled and I'm enjoying the ride.”
